Astigmatic Keratotomy
Patients of astigmatism have a cornea that is shaped like a football. Astigmatic keratotomy is an eye surgery that corrects astigmatism by making one or two incisions at the steepest part of the cornea. These incisions cause the cornea to relax, flatten and become a more rounded shape. Astigmatic Keratotomy is often used in combination with other vision correction surgeries. |
